Glorious Luna is a multi-tasking mother. A drag icon, live performer, makeup artist, and the Creative Director of Current Management, India’s first queer-only talent agency. But away from the spotlight, they are a clean girl through and through. “When it comes to everyday makeup, I prefer cream-based products,” says Luna. “They are smudge-proof and glide like butter,” they add. This minimalist alter-ego is the yin to their drag persona’s yang and we high-key stan.

Ruby: Can you give us an A-Z breakdown of our cover look? 

Glorious Luna:

R: What’s your favourite beauty trend? 

GL: Thin eyebrows for the win. The skinnier the better. 

R: A makeup hack that everyone should know 

GL: Your lipstick is also the best blush and eyeshadow. 

R: What’s your skincare routine? 

GL: I start my day with a gentle cleanse. Followed by toner. Then I like to layer hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and vitamin C serums on top of each other. Then comes in the moisturiser and the sunscreen. Things get simpler in the evening. The usual cleanse followed by hyaluronic acid, retinol and my moisturiser.  

R: What do you smell like? 

GL: Polo by Ralph Lauren during the day and Love Eau de Parfum by Chopard at night. 

GL: From techniques like blocking brows to something as popular as contouring — drag queens have paved the way for the beauty community in a big, big way. Every other trending makeup look on Tik Tok is basically drag.
