#LetsGetActive: Charcoal had a major moment in the world of skincare a few years ago, but it’s not as old-school as you may think. Still a popular (and relatively trendy) ingredient, it’s mainly known for removing dirt from your skin. It’s also particularly great for oily and combination skin types as it essentially unclogs them by removing dirt and oil, so we recommend that you stick to detoxifying masks that can be washed off along with the impurities that it ‘pulls’ out.  

Pro tip: Try not to use any other actives with charcoal – you can use them once your charcoal-infused product is rinsed off, though.
