Fruit-themed beauty trends are having a moment. Last year we got strawberry and tomato, and this season is all about the #ApricotGirl vibes. Saccharine colours ranging from cantaloupe to Fanta orange are taking over both runways and red carpets. Kiara Advani debuted a monochromatic version at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Models at Susan Fang Spring/Summer 2024 wore bright yet diffused peachy blush across their cheeks and glossy apricot-stained lips. And everyone’s favourite beauty girl Hailey Bieber coined the phrase “Peachy Beachy Makeup” to describe her summery spin on the trend. We spoke to Zainab Burmawala, Education Manager, M.A.C Cosmetics India for an A-Z breakdown of our apricot girl cover look. Here’s everything you need to know. Step one: Once you’re done with the base makeup, start building a Twiggy-inspired graphic eye look. “I’m going to accentuate the natural shape of the model’s eyelids with a brown eyeshadow in the shade Embark,” says Burmawala. “Now filling it in with the apricot hues Flame-boyant and Rule. The further you hold the brush, the better the blend,” she adds. Step two: It’s time for the doll lashes. “The Macstack mascara gives you a lot of volume,” says Burmawala.
