Get The Look | Blush Crush

Love the ‘I’m cold’ makeup look? Well, if the beauty trends for 2022 have taught us anything, it’s that blush is stealing the spotlight, and coming in front and centre. However, when you have oily skin, keeping your blush in place all day can unfortunately feel like dealing with a diva. The fix? Using a liquid blush or cheek stain instead of a powder formula. This advice is pro-approved, too. According to celebrity hair and makeup artist Bianca Louzado, “liquid blushes that impart ample pigment when dabbed lightly are best for greasy skin”. This is because they are lightweight, buildable, and don’t need excessive blending that encourages oil production. “Dab a tiny bit of the product onto the high points of your cheekbones and blend with your fingertips. You can also use a damp makeup sponge that absorbs excessive product, or a buffer brush for a more hygienic approach,” suggests Louzado. Scroll down for our top picks to get started.
