Some occurrences are just a fact of life. There will be lipstick on your teeth during that important meeting, your mascara will smudge a little right before that first date, and your scalp will feel extra dry during the winters. Well, the last one doesn’t have to always be a part of that list. An easy fix? Turning down the heat. This one sounds like a compromise, but we promise you that it has a bunch of benefits. Turning down the temperature in your home, shower, and on your hairdryer can do wonders for your hair and scalp. Anything hot – air, water – is a major trigger for a dry scalp in the colder months. We’re also not telling you to switch to cold air or water, though – the lowest setting on your dryer or lukewarm water will do just fine!
